Serra do Cipó is home for the really rare and gorgeous Hyacinth Visorbearer Cipó Canastero that was only discovered in 1985. Many other species can be found in the area such as the Spotted Nothura, Blackish Rail, Red-legged Seriema, White-vented Violet-Ear, Horned Sungem, White-barred Piculet, White-rumped Monjita, Gray-backed Tachuri, Hepatic, Hooded, Burnished-buff and Swallow Tanagers, Yellow-billed Blue-Finch and many others.

Arrive at the International Airport and transfer to São Roque de Minas (360km) where Canastra National Park is.
Check in at Pousada Chapadão da Canastra.

Day 2 & 3 – Canastra National Park
All days exploring and birding in Canastra National Park area. We have great chances to see the Pampa’s Deer, Giant Anteater and the Manned Wolf.
Trail lunches during the day and dinner at local restaurants.
Overnight São Roque de Minas.
Day 4 – São Roque de Minas / Serra do Cipó
After breakfast transfer to Serra do Cipó (500km).
Lunch on the road and dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Check In at Cipó Veraneio Hotel.
Overnight.
Day 5 – Serra do Cipó
All day birding in Serra do Cipó area.
Overnight Serra do Cipó.
Day 6 – Serra do Cipó / Belo Horizonte
Breakfast. Return to Belo Horizonte. End of our service.
