This tour provider cares about preserving the Fazenda Montes Claros, in the town of Caratinga, Minas Gerais, where a project is being developed in order to preserve the Muriqui, the biggest primate from the Americas. Their work is related to transforming the visited area into an income mechanism and revert this effort to research engines. They intend to support effectively this selected project, and they are studying the viability of a partnership to obtain financial contributions. They are part of the annual PCTS catalogue which is a Certification Program of Sustainable Tourism.
The Certification Program of Sustainable Tourism (PCTS) is committed to improving quality and competitiveness from micro and small tourism companies, stimulating their best economical, environmental, cultural and social improvement programs. Therefore PCTS contributes to sustainable tourism among Brazilians and to improve Brazil's image abroad.
O PTCS is a national initiative sponsored by Hospitality Institute (IH) with a partnership with the Brazilian Sustainable Tourism Counsel , supported by the Interamerican Development Bank (BID); Promotion, Export and Investments Agency (APEX - Brazil); SEBRAE and Brazilian Tourism Ministry.
