In their office, Geraes Viagens e Turismo implements environmentally friendly habits such as reducing office waste by keeping printing at a minimum and using recycled paper. In the field, they build awareness amongst travellers about their impact and how to minimise it. They set a positive waste management example by distributing reusable cups to tour participants rather than using disposable cups. These cups must keep and returned at the end of the tour to be reused on subsequent tours. Plastic bags are also distributed for rubbish to be collected.
